What We Offer:
Our Mission Statement

Mark Kefford
Next Generation Sport coach’s are all RFU qualified coach’s, and fully CRB’d. The aim of our coaching is to make sessions although some times testing, always fast and fun! Equiping young players with the game skills and knowledge they need, as well as encouraging a higher level of fitness and self-discipline. We run coaching sessions and events within schools and rugby clubs as well as specialist clinics and holiday activities. Next Generation Sport takes great pride in the quality of the delivery of our coaching, and our professionalism.
Mark Kefford (Coaching Co-ordinator)
Mark has been involved in coaching at all levels for the last five years. He has worked for Premiership Rugby Clubs, National Governing Bodies and within all levels of education from Primary Schools to the Private Sector. He is currently the head coach of Daventry RFC and is heavily involved in both player and coach development.
Mark got involved in Sport through a playing career in Rugby Union. His playing career which led from a national league side to the academy at Northampton Saints was cut short through injury and it is within coaching that his
expertise and enthusiasm are put to good use.
He is an outstanding communicator and has the ability to engage people of all ages and abilities. His enthusiasm and passion for sport is infectious and NGS has given him a platform to share his knowledge and ability with a vast range of young people.
Thomas Dann (Next Generation Sports, Community Sports Manager & RFU Community Rugby Coach)
Tommy, a particularly talented sportsman himself now takes great pride in passing on his knowledge, to pupils eager to learn.
Tommy's skills are very diverse having played both professional Rugby and professional Cricket. His playing career in Rugby led from his education at one of Britains top sporting schools, Millfield, to starting his Rugby playing career at the Northampton Saints. Tommy then spent two years with Blackheath Rugby club, before returning home National Two side Cambridge. His Cricket career has included the Northamptonshire Steelbacks.
Tommy's contribution to Next Generation Sport is based much more around finesse than Mark's, being a confident part of the back line. He is an esblished kicker at national level, able to kick with either foot based on field position.
He is currently a Level 2 coach in both Rugby and Cricket, aspiring to become Level 3 in the not too distant future and also has a Level 1 FA qualification in Football.
The last 2 years has seen him spend his time working at a sports college in Cambridge as part of a CSCS scheme, this has enabled him to gain huge experience, within all aspects of coaching from primary school projects through to club and county coaching.
His strengths are his ability to communicate and enthuse others of all ages. His understanding, love for and experience within sport allows him to come across very positively when coaching children.
Tim Marston
